Wurm

The Wurm token, numbered 13 in the Ravnica Remastered Tokens set, was released by Wizards of the Coast in 2024. As part of a remastered collection, this card serves as a thematic supplement for players utilizing cards that generate 6/6 green Wurm creature tokens, such as the classic card Wurm's Tooth or various Ravnica-based spells. It draws upon the specific aesthetic history of the plane of Ravnica, a cityscape defined by deep-seated guild politics and wild, subterranean monstrosities that frequently appear in the game's creature archetypes.

The design of this token leans into the high-fantasy, visceral art style characteristic of the modern Magic: The Gathering aesthetic. While specific individual illustrator credits for individual tokens within the Remastered series are often presented as part of a collective creative output for the set, the design intent is to provide a clear, functional visual reference for gameplay mechanics while maintaining the grit and scale associated with Ravnican beasts. It was received by the community as a functional utility piece, valued for its cohesive art style that fits seamlessly into existing Ravnica-themed decks.
