Wurm

The Wurm token, specifically numbered 7 from the Duel Decks: Mind vs. Might release, was produced by Wizards of the Coast in 2017. It was designed to serve as an auxiliary game piece for decks built around the themes of raw strength and tactical manipulation. These token cards function as visual representations of creatures created by spells or abilities within the Magic: The Gathering card game, providing players with a clear reference for power and toughness during gameplay.

The artwork for this series of tokens followed the established aesthetic guidelines for the Duel Decks line, which sought to balance the thematic tension between two opposing playstyles. While tokens are often the work of various artists contributing to the wider card set's visual identity, they are frequently characterized by their functional design, prioritizing legibility and thematic cohesion to ensure they remain distinct on the battlefield. The reception of these tokens has been primarily practical, valued by collectors and players for their role in completing the set's immersive experience.
