Wurm

The Wurm token, numbered 8 in the Ravnica Allegiance Guild Kit series, was produced by Wizards of the Coast for release in early 2019. These kits were designed as themed, ready-to-play decks that highlighted the ten guilds of the Ravnica plane, serving as a nostalgic celebration of the setting's deep lore and complex history. The token was included to support cards like 'Grotesque Mutation' or other effects that create Wurm creatures during gameplay, maintaining the immersive atmosphere of the Selesnya or Gruul colors represented within the set.

The illustration maintains the hallmark aesthetic of the Modern era of Magic: The Gathering, focusing on the monstrous, segmented biology characteristic of Ravnica's subterranean threats. Like many tokens in supplemental sets, the artwork was commissioned to provide a distinct, high-quality visual reference for players at the table. It is valued by collectors not for its scarcity, but for its integration into the cohesive visual identity of the Guild Kits, which remains a popular entry point for players interested in the narrative history of the plane.
