Jahrbuch Der Goethe-Gesellschaft, 1915, Vol. 2: Im Auftrage Des Vorstandes (Classic Reprint)

The Jahrbuch der Goethe-Gesellschaft was established as a scholarly publication dedicated to the life, works, and cultural impact of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Volume 2, published in 1915, emerged during a period of intense academic focus on German classicism, aiming to preserve and interpret archival material for members of the Goethe-Gesellschaft, which was founded in Weimar to foster international literary scholarship.

Edited by Hans Gerhard Graf, the publication reflects the rigorous editorial standards of the early twentieth-century German literary establishment. The content focuses on historical research and critical essays, intended to serve as a definitive record for serious scholars. The current version is a classic reprint, designed to make these historically significant academic records accessible to modern researchers and bibliophiles who study the reception of Goethe during the Great War.
