Jahrbuch Der Goethe-Gesellschaft ... Namennachweis Für Die Bände 1-20

The Jahrbuch der Goethe-Gesellschaft was an essential scholarly annual published by the Goethe-Gesellschaft in Weimar, reflecting the institution's long-standing dedication to preserving and interpreting the legacy of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. This specific volume serves as a comprehensive index, or Namennachweis, designed to organize and provide access to the wealth of research, correspondence, and literary analysis contained within the first twenty volumes of the series.

The index was compiled to address the increasing need for academic utility within the society's growing body of work. By systematically cataloging the names referenced across two decades of scholarship, the editors sought to facilitate deeper study for researchers navigating the early twentieth-century German literary landscape. It represents the meticulous organizational standards characteristic of the society’s efforts to maintain authoritative documentation of Goethe’s life and influence.
