Moriarty the Patriot, Vol. 14

Moriarty the Patriot, written by Ryosuke Takeuchi and illustrated by Hikaru Miyoshi, began serialization in Jump Square in 2016 as a reimagining of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes canon. The series explores the origins of Professor James Moriarty, reframing him as a brilliant protagonist seeking to dismantle the rigid class system of Victorian England through complex schemes. The fourteenth volume continues this narrative arc, maintaining the series' signature blend of historical drama and suspenseful, intellectual confrontations.

The English-language edition is published by VIZ Media as part of their Shonen Jump imprint. The design aesthetic reflects the dark, refined tone of the story, featuring detailed character work by Miyoshi that emphasizes the interplay between shadows and Victorian elegance. Upon release, the series has been noted for its unique perspective on the antagonist-as-hero trope and has maintained a consistent following for its intricate plotting and stylish visual presentation.
