Moriarty the Patriot, known in Japan as Yukoku no Moriarty, is a manga series written by Ryosuke Takeuchi and illustrated by Hikaru Miyoshi, first serialized in 2016. The narrative reimagines the origin story of James Moriarty, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic antagonist, portraying him as a criminal consultant working to dismantle the rigid British class system. This twelfth volume continues the complex cat-and-mouse dynamic between Moriarty and Sherlock Holmes, reflecting the series' thematic focus on social reform and morality through a gothic Victorian lens.

The Polish edition of the series, published by Waneko, has been instrumental in bringing the title to a dedicated Central European audience. Waneko, a publisher long respected for its commitment to high-quality manga localizations, opted for a faithful adaptation of the original Japanese tankōbon formatting. The design highlights Miyoshi's crisp, elegant character illustrations, which aim to contrast the dark, historical atmosphere of nineteenth-century London with the refined aesthetic of the protagonists.
