The Complete Poetical Works of Samuel Taylor Coleridge is a scholarly collection intended to provide a comprehensive record of the Romantic poet's verses. Produced during the early-to-mid 20th century by Oxford University Press, this specific volume, edited by Ernest Hartley Coleridge, serves as a definitive reference for scholars and literature enthusiasts alike. It emerged from a period of intense academic interest in cataloging and standardizing the works of the Lake Poets to preserve their legacy for future generations.

The editorial rigor behind this collection is credited to the poet's own grandson, Ernest Hartley Coleridge, who meticulously assembled the text to include not only the well-known masterpieces like The Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Kubla Khan but also fragments and previously unpublished drafts. The design reflects the mid-century preference for functional, cloth-bound library editions meant for longevity. Upon release, it was lauded by literary critics for its clarity and the thoroughness of its biographical introductions, establishing it as a primary resource in English literature departments globally.
