Where it came from
The Issho (Alternate Art) card, designated EB04-022, was released as part of the Extra Booster set The Azure Sea's Seven for the One Piece Card Game. This set was designed to expand upon specific narrative arcs within the franchise, focusing on the tactical diversity of its character roster. The card depicts the Admiral Issho, also known as Fujitora, a character defined by his gravity-manipulating powers and his complex, morally ambiguous approach to justice within the series' world government structure.
The alternate art version of this card features a unique illustration that distinguishes it from the standard card stock, prioritizing a dramatic, cinematic composition to reflect Issho's imposing presence. Such variants are typically created by the game’s collaborative team of artists to provide collectors with a more stylized, premium aesthetic. Upon release, this specific variant was well-received by players and collectors alike for its high-contrast visual appeal and its functional utility in deck-building strategies centered around character cost reduction.
