Jaguar.D.Saul

Jaguar D. Saul first appeared in the Paramount War set of the One Piece Card Game, released in 2022 to coincide with the broader expansion of the trading card game based on Eiichiro Oda’s long-running manga. The card draws its imagery from the Enies Lobby arc, specifically depicting the giant vice admiral during his pivotal act of defiance against the World Government. The illustration emphasizes his towering stature and his characteristic laughing demeanor, capturing his role as a compassionate figure amidst the rigid structure of the Marines.

The card was designed to function within the mechanics of the game's second expansion, which focused on the dramatic events of the Marineford War. As a character card, it is intended to represent the moral complexity of the source material, where Saul serves as a critical catalyst for the protagonist Robin's history. The design received modest attention from players for its thematic fidelity to the anime, serving as a functional piece within deck-building strategies that prioritize defensive capability and specific color-synergy mechanics.
