Monkey.D.Luffy

The ST01-001 Monkey.D.Luffy leader card was released as part of the initial launch of the One Piece Card Game in 2022. As the primary leader card for the first starter deck, it was designed to introduce players to the game’s core mechanics, specifically the Red color archetype, which emphasizes aggressive play and high-power attacks. The card features classic artwork depicting the series protagonist in his iconic pose, serving as an accessible entry point for new collectors and players.

The design of the Revision Pack series, which includes reprints and variants of foundational cards like this Luffy leader, serves to provide continued accessibility to essential gameplay assets. These versions often feature subtle aesthetic adjustments or organizational stamps that differentiate them from the original starter deck printings. Within the broader context of the One Piece trading card landscape, this card is viewed as a functional cornerstone, prized by players for its utility in competitive deck building and recognized by collectors for its status as the face of the game’s debut.
