Shanks (Parallel) (Manga) (Alternate Art)

Released in July 2022 as part of the Romance Dawn set, the inaugural expansion of the One Piece Card Game, this Shanks card serves as a centerpiece for collectors. It was produced by Bandai to introduce the game to an international audience, leveraging the immense popularity of Eiichiro Oda’s long-running manga series. The item represents a pivotal moment in the game’s launch, establishing the high-rarity parallel card market that defines the current collecting landscape.

The design features an alternate art illustration of Shanks, a central character in the series, depicted with a distinct aesthetic style that differentiates it from the standard card variants. This specific manga-style art was curated to celebrate the iconic visual language of the source material. Upon its release, it was immediately recognized as a 'chase card' due to its extreme scarcity, which solidified its reputation as the most sought-after collectible within the set's initial production run.
