Provenance

Where it came from

The Three Sword Style Oni Giri event card is part of the second expansion set for the One Piece Card Game, titled Paramount War, released in late 2022. Designed as an event card for the Green color archetype, it draws directly from the source material, capturing the signature attack of the character Roronoa Zoro. The card was created to provide players with a defensive and offensive utility mechanic, allowing players to KO low-power characters while staying true to the high-intensity combat aesthetic of the series.

The artwork features a dynamic illustration of Zoro mid-strike, emphasizing the kinetic energy central to his swordsmanship. It was crafted by the Bandai design team to function within the broader strategy of the game's early meta, where speed and board control were essential. Upon release, it was well-received by fans of the franchise for its visual accuracy and its strategic value in Green-based decks, becoming a staple component for collectors focusing on the Straw Hat crew.
