Chimecho

The Chimecho card, numbered 24/40 in the Nintendo Black Star Promos series, was released in 2004 as part of a promotional campaign for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. These cards were primarily distributed through specific retail channels and event-based giveaways during the transition period when The Pokémon Company International began managing operations directly following Wizards of the Coast. The release served to support the expansion of the game's presence in the North American market, often featuring artwork that aligned with the Ruby and Sapphire era aesthetics.

The illustration features Chimecho, a Pokémon introduced in the third generation, capturing its whimsical and ethereal nature. The design emphasizes the creature's bell-like form and connection to the psychic type, utilizing the clean, digital art style that defined the mid-2000s card releases. While not a high-rarity chase card, it remains a notable piece for collectors focusing on the Black Star Promo sequence, representing a stable period of transition for the franchise's visual identity.
