Flygon

The Flygon card, numbered 25/40 in the Nintendo Black Star Promos series, was released in the mid-2000s as part of a promotional campaign for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. These cards were typically distributed through specific events, retail bundles, or magazines to support the popularity of the Ruby and Sapphire generation of games. As a colorless-type card, it reflects the character's design origin as a Ground and Dragon type, capturing the mystic aesthetic that defined the third generation of Pokémon.

The design of this promotional card features artwork consistent with the clean, digital illustration style utilized by The Pokémon Company International during the early Nintendo era of the game. It was created to provide players with an accessible yet powerful addition to their collections outside of the traditional expansion packs. Because it was a limited distribution promotional item, it has become a recognizable piece of the era's card history for collectors interested in the transition period of the franchise under Nintendo’s ownership.
