Balla Balla - Four Boys In Music - Beautiful Delilah - Bad, Bad Baby

Released in the mid-1950s on the Epic label, this EP captures the vocal harmony style that defined the era's transition from rhythm and blues into the early foundations of rock and roll. The Rainbows were a prominent Washington, D.C. vocal group, noteworthy for being an early ensemble for several future soul music legends, including Don Covay and Marvin Gaye.

The record serves as a showcase for the group's ability to navigate both upbeat, dance-oriented tracks like 'Balla Balla' and more traditional R&B arrangements. While the specific production history of this EP is largely obscured by the passage of time, it remains a sought-after piece for collectors of mid-century vocal harmony, documenting a pivotal moment when group members were honing the talents that would eventually influence the direction of Motown and beyond.
