Blondine, Bonne-Biche Et Beau-Minon

This 1972 release by CBS brings to life the classic fairy tale written by Sophie Rostopchine, Comtesse de Ségur. Originally published in 1856, the story is a cornerstone of 19th-century French children's literature, known for its moral clarity and imaginative narrative. The recording serves as an audio adaptation intended to preserve these traditional stories for a new generation of listeners during the early 1970s.

The musical direction and arrangement for this production were helmed by François Rauber, a highly respected composer and orchestrator best known for his long-standing collaboration with Jacques Brel. Rauber's involvement ensured a sophisticated auditory backdrop that balanced whimsical storytelling with a nuanced, professional composition. The album received moderate attention as part of a series of spoken-word and musical adaptations of Ségur's work, which were widely appreciated in France for their high production values and literary fidelity.
