Bugs Bunny Und Seine Freunde Folge 5 - Lustige Abenteuer Mit Speedy Gonzales Und Der Buffalo-Bande / Lustige Abenteuer Mit Speedy Gonzales In Alices Wunderwald

Released in 1983 by the West German label Maritim, this record is part of a prolific series of audio dramas that brought classic Looney Tunes characters to German-speaking audiences. During the 1970s and 1980s, Maritim produced numerous radio play adaptations featuring Bugs Bunny and his cohorts, capitalizing on the popularity of television broadcasts in Germany. These productions often utilized synthesized background scores and localized voice acting, providing a distinct cultural interpretation of American animation icons for a domestic audience.

The audio production was overseen by Billy R. Rosenberg, who was a frequent contributor to the Maritim children’s catalog. The design of these releases was characterized by standardized, colorful cover art intended to sit neatly alongside other entries in the label's budget-friendly catalog. While these records were primarily aimed at the juvenile market, they have since become touchstones for European collectors of vintage media, reflecting the post-war trend of licensing international cartoon properties for localized audio-visual storytelling.
