ICA Hakons Jubileums-LP "Melodibuketten" Med Melodier Man Minns Från 1918

Released in 1977, this record was produced by ICA Hakon AB to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the company's founding in 1917. The album serves as a nostalgic retrospective, gathering popular melodies that resonated with the Swedish public throughout the decades of the company's existence. It was designed as a promotional gift or special offering for customers and employees, reflecting the cultural landscape of the era through the voice of one of Sweden's most beloved singers, Lars Lönndahl.

The album was curated to evoke sentimental value, focusing on songs that were considered 'evergreens' in the Swedish music tradition. Lars Lönndahl, already an established star known for his warm vocal style and immense popularity in the mid-20th century, was a natural choice for a commemorative project aimed at a broad audience. The design and track selection were intended to foster a sense of shared history between the grocery retailer and the Swedish households that shopped at their stores, emphasizing a transition from the early 20th century into the late 1970s.
