Klarinettenkonzert F-dur, Fagottkonzert F-dur, Concertino Für Horn E-moll

This 1978 Erato release features a collection of wind concertos by the German Romantic composer Carl Maria von Weber. The recording captures the technical brilliance of the era's French wind soloists, including clarinetist Jacques Lancelot, bassoonist Paul Hongne, and horn player Georges Barboteu. Accompanied by the Bamberger Symphoniker under the direction of Theodor Guschlbauer, the album highlights the virtuosic demands and lyrical qualities that defined Weber's contributions to the woodwind and brass repertoire.

The Erato label, founded in France in 1953, established a significant reputation for championing high-fidelity classical recordings, particularly those showcasing prominent French instrumentalists. This specific release reflects the label's commitment to the standard concerto repertoire during the late 1970s. The design and production were intended to present these concertos with clarity and balance, adhering to the high performance standards of the Bamberger Symphoniker, an orchestra long respected for its versatility in the European symphonic tradition.
