Kleine Hexe Klavi-Klack - Besenritt Mit Karin Und Fredi Und Andere Abenteuer

The Kleine Hexe Klavi-Klack record was released by the German label Maritim during the 1970s, a period when the label was prolific in producing audio dramas and children’s music tailored for the West German market. The series focuses on the whimsical, musical adventures of the title character, designed to provide both entertainment and early exposure to musical concepts for young listeners. It occupies a distinct space in the era's tradition of German 'Hörspiel' or audio plays, which utilized voice acting and sound effects to adapt literature and original stories for a domestic audience.

The series is notably associated with the work of Joachim von Ulmann, whose creative involvement shaped the sound and narrative trajectory of these recordings. Maritim focused on accessible, high-quality production values for their children's catalogs, aiming to compete in a crowded market of storybooks and records. The artwork and design of the record jackets from this period typically reflected the vibrant, illustrated aesthetic common to children's media of the time, emphasizing the playful nature of the characters to draw the attention of young children and their parents in record stores.
