Released under the RCA Victor label during the mid-20th century, this record belongs to a celebrated series of French-language storytelling albums designed for children. These productions served as educational and recreational artifacts, bringing classic fairy tales and literary fantasies into the home through spoken-word performance and sound design. The collection captures a period when high-quality audio dramatizations were a primary vehicle for introducing young audiences to canonical folklore.

The audio production features the collaborative efforts of Lisette Lemaire, Linette Lemercier, Roger Bret, and Pierre Marteville, who provided the narrative voices and character portrayals. The design of these records generally prioritized clarity and whimsical engagement, reflecting the aesthetic sensibilities of post-war French media. The series was well-received at the time for its technical production values and its role in preserving traditional storytelling traditions for a younger generation.
