Le Départ En Vacances / Toutantonton

Le Départ En Vacances, featuring the character Toutantonton, was released in 1989 through the French label Flarenasch. The record serves as a musical extension of the Toutantonton universe, a children's character created by artist André Lamy. In the context of late 1980s French media, this release followed the tradition of character-driven audio storytelling designed to engage young listeners through imaginative themes of travel and summer holidays.

The design and artistic direction were helmed by André Lamy, who sought to capture a whimsical and accessible aesthetic suitable for the youth market of the era. The project reflects the period's interest in multimedia character branding, where illustrative concepts were frequently adapted into audio formats. Upon its release, the record was received as a niche entry in the French children's music market, serving primarily as a companion piece to Lamy's broader creative portfolio.
