Le Merveilleux Voyage De Nils Holgersson Au PayDes Oies Sauvagess Des Oies Sauvages

Released in 1985 by Le Petit Ménestrel, this recording is an audio adaptation of Selma Lagerlöf’s 1906 classic, The Wonderful Adventures of Nils. The production reflects the mid-1980s trend in France of creating high-quality spoken-word adaptations of children's literature, designed for both educational purposes and home listening. This specific catalog number, ALB-6072, belongs to a series of releases from the label intended to preserve canonical literary works for a younger generation through atmospheric narration and musical accompaniment.

The recording features the celebrated French actress Marie-Christine Barrault, whose vocal performance was crafted to capture the whimsical yet moralistic tone of Lagerlöf's narrative. Barrault, known for her measured and expressive delivery, was chosen to lead the listener through Nils's transformative journey across the Swedish landscape. The production was well-received by parents and educators of the period, serving as a staple in many French family record collections and contributing to the enduring popularity of the Nils Holgersson character in Francophone media.
