Where it came from
Released in 2018 on the boutique label Le Syndicat des Scorpions, Un Rêve Dans Un Rêve serves as a representative work of Régis Turner’s experimental electronic soundscapes. The album emerged from a burgeoning underground scene in France that prioritizes atmospheric, texture-heavy compositions over traditional song structures, reflecting a wider movement toward lo-fi production aesthetics and abstract synthesizer explorations.
The design of the record, cataloged as LSDS013, aligns with the label's minimalist visual identity, which often utilizes stark, monochromatic, or surrealist imagery to mirror the sonic ambiguity found within the grooves. While the release is considered a niche entry within the label's discography, it was well-received by devotees of experimental ambient music for its cohesive narrative flow and Turner’s deliberate, restrained approach to arrangement.
