You're Just The Right Size (A Special R.E.M.I.X.E.D. Version) / Run Away

Released in 1986 on the Dutch label Rams Horn Records, this 12-inch single represents the later era of The Salsoul Orchestra, the prolific disco ensemble formed by producer Vincent Montana Jr. By the mid-1980s, the group had transitioned from their signature lush Philadelphia soul sound to accommodate the emerging electronic and hi-NRG trends dominating European dance floors. This specific release features a remixed version of 'You're Just The Right Size,' a track originally composed by Montana for the band's 1976 debut album.

The production on this release reflects the label's focus on servicing the club market, utilizing extended instrumental arrangements and synthesizer-heavy textures characteristic of the mid-80s post-disco landscape. As a Rams Horn catalog entry, it was part of a robust distribution network that brought American disco and funk sounds to Dutch and broader European audiences. While the track remains a niche interest for disco purists and crate-diggers, it serves as a historical marker of the transition between the orchestral disco movement and the dance-pop styles that followed.
