Banner of Courage

Banner of Courage was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in Dark Revelation Volume 1, which was released as a compilation set to provide players with easier access to cards that had previously appeared in several disparate booster packs. As a spell card, it was designed to offer a modest tactical advantage during the battle phase, reflecting the game's early emphasis on simple, turn-based combat modifications.

The card features an illustration consistent with the aesthetic of the early game's thematic spell cards, utilizing a direct, functional design intended to be easily recognizable in a player's hand. Because it was released as a common card in the Dark Revelation set, it was widely available to the player base and served as a standard entry-level component for casual deck building during the mid-2000s.
