Cyber Dragon

Cyber Dragon was first released in 2005 as a core component of the Cybernetic Revolution set, fundamentally shifting the landscape of competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! play. Its unique ability to special summon itself from the hand without tributing made it a staple in virtually every deck of its era, marking a transition toward faster, more aggressive gameplay. The creature's design, characterized by a sleek, mechanical aesthetic, was inspired by contemporary trends in mecha-inspired character art and became the flagship monster for the series' recurring machine-type archetypes.

This particular version, the Ultimate Rare from OTS Tournament Pack 16, reflects the long-standing tradition of reissuing iconic cards with high-end holographic etching. These packs are distributed exclusively through official Konami tournament stores to reward competitive players and judges. The Ultimate Rare printing utilizes a textured foil finish, a technique favored by collectors for its tactile quality and the way it highlights the intricate detailing of the artwork, which remains faithful to the original Kazuki Takahashi-influenced design language.
