Provenance

Where it came from

Dimensional Fissure first debuted in the 2006 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG set Cybernetic Revolution, serving as a defining piece of 'banish-focused' control strategy. Its design reflects the game's shift toward mechanics that disrupt the graveyard, a zone that had become increasingly central to competitive play. By forcing all monsters sent to the graveyard to be removed from play instead, the card effectively countered decks reliant on recursion, leaving a lasting impact on the game's tactical landscape.

The version from Battles of Legend: Monstrous Revenge (BLMR-EN088) is an Ultra Rare printing that brings this classic effect to a modern audience. As part of a set dedicated to reissuing high-demand and tournament-relevant cards, this reprint maintains the original functionality while updating the card’s aesthetic presentation. It remains a staple in the side decks of competitive players who need a reliable, permanent method to suppress graveyard-dependent archetypes.
