Heavy Storm

Heavy Storm debuted in the earliest days of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, originally appearing in the Metal Raiders expansion. It was designed as a powerful board-clearing spell card that allowed players to destroy all spell and trap cards on the field, serving as a tactical staple for years due to its ability to dismantle an opponent's defensive setup in a single move.

The version from the Starter Deck: Syrus Truesdale, coded YSDS-EN024, was released as a common card to provide players with accessible utility during the GX era of the game. Like many cards from the Syrus-themed starter decks, its inclusion helped integrate foundational gameplay mechanics into newer decks, though the card itself was eventually restricted and later prohibited in tournament play for its overwhelming influence on game balance.
