Kuriboh

Kuriboh was first introduced in the early days of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, originating from the character Yugi Muto’s deck in the original manga and anime series. As a mascot-like creature, it was designed to embody the themes of defense and surprise, often serving as a pivotal tactical tool that allowed the protagonist to mitigate damage during high-stakes duels. Its simplistic, fur-covered design was created to be endearing while functioning as an iconic symbol of the series' core spirit.

The YSYR-EN008 version appears in the Starter Deck: Yugi Reloaded, a product line released by Konami to update the classic deck structure for new players. By including this card in a contemporary starter set, the publisher ensured that iconic creatures from the original series remained accessible to modern audiences. The common rarity of this specific print reflects its purpose as a staple utility card, balancing its historical significance with functional availability for players looking to replicate classic defensive strategies.
