Mask of Restrict

Mask of Restrict was originally introduced during the early era of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as a tactical countermeasure against decks relying on Tributing mechanics. It serves as a continuous trap card designed to lock down gameplay by preventing players from Tributing cards, effectively neutralizing strategies centered on high-level monsters or tribute-based costs. The design reflects the game's shift toward creating specialized, disruptive side-deck cards intended to punish specific playstyles.

The version from OTS Tournament Pack 2, released as a super-rare, represents the card's inclusion in the Official Tournament Store program. This program was established to support local gaming environments, offering exclusive foil prints of existing cards to players participating in sanctioned events. As a card that oscillates between being a niche side-deck staple and an occasional main-deck tech choice depending on the shifting competitive meta, its aesthetic presentation as a super-rare in this specific pack remains a sought-after iteration for tournament players and collectors alike.
