Pot of Greed

Pot of Greed was introduced as a staple spell card in the earliest iterations of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, designed to provide a significant card advantage by allowing players to draw two cards from their deck. Within the context of the game's mechanics, it quickly became a foundational element of competitive play, ultimately leading to its prohibition in tournament formats due to the overwhelming consistency it provided to almost any deck strategy.

The card's iconic illustration depicts a grinning, grotesque clay vessel that has become one of the most recognizable pieces of imagery in the franchise. The Ultimate Rare printing featured in the Duelist Pack: Kaiba set employs a specialized textured foiling process that highlights the embossed details of the artwork, offering a distinct visual aesthetic that differentiates it from the standard card stock used in mass-market releases of the era.
