Where it came from
Raidraptor - Force Strix was released in the 2016 Wing Raiders booster set, an expansion specifically designed to support the Xyz-focused strategies of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V animated series. As a key component of the Raidraptor archetype, the card represents the tactical evolution of the protagonist Shun Kurosaki, whose deck centers on aerial combat and rapid rank-up maneuvers. The card was crafted to serve as a consistent searcher, bridging the gap between low-level monsters and high-impact finishers.
The design of the card, characterized by its metallic, avian aesthetic, draws heavily from the industrial and rebellious themes of the Resistance faction in the source material. Within the game's competitive landscape, the Secret Rare foil treatment was highly sought after by players for its visual distinctiveness. Upon its debut, the card was widely recognized as a cornerstone of its archetype, essential for stabilizing the deck's ability to swarm the field and maintain pressure throughout a match.
