Raidraptor - Last Strix

Raidraptor - Last Strix was released in the 2016 Wing Raiders booster set, a core component of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game that focused heavily on Xyz summoning mechanics. The card draws its aesthetic and thematic inspiration from the Raidraptor archetype, which is defined by dark, metallic, avian-inspired mechanical designs that emphasize speed and coordinated swarm tactics. It was designed to support the playstyle of Shun Kurosaki, a character from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime series, serving as a tactical tool to cheat out powerful boss monsters directly from the Extra Deck.

The card was illustrated with a sharp, aggressive sensibility consistent with the Raidraptor aesthetic, favoring deep purples and jagged mechanical forms to convey a sense of rapid, tactical deployment. Upon its release, it was received as a niche but effective utility card within the competitive community. While it lacks the high rarity of some of its counterparts in the set, it remains a recognized staple for enthusiasts of the archetype who prioritize consistent access to high-level Xyz monsters over visual flair.
