Sonic Bird

Sonic Bird was originally released as a Secret Rare in the 2002 expansion set Metal Raiders, serving as a foundational support card for Ritual Monster strategies. The card was designed to bridge the gap in deck consistency by allowing players to search their decks for a Ritual Spell card upon its successful summon. This mechanic made it an essential utility piece during the early eras of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, providing the necessary setup to bring powerful Ritual monsters onto the field.

The Duel Terminal 5b version, released years later, introduced the card to the specific arcade-integrated format where cards featured unique technological aesthetics and holographic parallel rare finishes. While the card's original artwork by Konami's design team focused on a straightforward, avian-inspired monster, the Duel Terminal release served to keep this classic utility card accessible to new generations of players. Its enduring presence across various sets reflects its status as a staple for any player dedicated to the Ritual summoning style.
