Sonic Bird

Sonic Bird was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Metal Raiders expansion in 2002. It was designed to support Ritual Summoning archetypes by allowing players to search their deck for a Ritual Spell card upon being summoned. This functionality established it as a foundational utility card for players aiming to accelerate their strategies in the early, highly competitive phases of the game's growth.

The card was later reprinted in the Dark Beginning 1 set, which served as a compilation release intended to make staple cards more accessible to a broader audience of players. Featuring art that depicts a stylized avian creature, the design focuses on technical utility rather than cosmetic flair. As a common rarity card within the Dark Beginning 1 series, it was widely integrated into casual and tournament decks due to its consistent search effect, maintaining its relevance for years as an essential piece of deck-building support.
