Sonic Bird

Sonic Bird was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Dark Legends booster set, released to provide players with access to older, foundational cards. The card itself represents a key utility monster that facilitates the Ritual Summoning mechanic, reflecting the game's early strategic focus on managing specific hand requirements to bring powerful monsters to the field.

The card features an illustration of a sharp-featured avian creature, designed to convey its role as a scout or retriever within the game's mechanics. Its design, which allows a player to add a Ritual Spell Card from their deck to their hand upon summoning, remains a standard for deck consistency in archetypes that rely on Ritual monsters. It has been a staple card for years, valued by players for its direct effect rather than its combat strength.
