Amagi Brilliant Park: Wakuwaku Mini Theater Rakugaki Backstage

Released in 2015, this special was produced by Kyoto Animation as an accompaniment to the Amagi Brilliant Park television series. It functioned as a supplemental release designed to provide fans with a more intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the whimsical management struggles of the park's staff. The project reflects the studio's commitment to expanding the world-building of its source material through high-quality, short-form character pieces.

The animation and direction team aimed to capture a more relaxed, playful atmosphere compared to the main series, focusing on lighthearted vignettes and character interaction. Given its nature as a niche special bundled with home media releases, it was received primarily as a charming gift for dedicated viewers of the franchise rather than a standalone narrative, showcasing Kyoto Animation's characteristic attention to expressive, fluid character design even in smaller-scale projects.
