Dorami-chan: Arara Shounen Sanzoku-dan!

Released in 1991, Dorami-chan: Arara Shounen Sanzoku-dan! serves as a spin-off feature from the expansive Doraemon franchise. Produced by Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions, the short film was designed to highlight Dorami, Doraemon's younger sister, as a protagonist in her own right. The film centers on her interaction with Arara, a robot child who has escaped into the wilderness, reflecting the series' recurring themes of friendship, technology, and gentle moral lessons delivered through sci-fi settings.

The animation style adheres to the classic aesthetic established by the long-running Doraemon television series, prioritizing clean character lines and vibrant backgrounds suitable for its target audience. As a theatrical short that often accompanied larger features, it was aimed at younger viewers and fans of Fujiko F. Fujio’s works. Its reception was generally positive among the established fanbase, appreciated for its focus on Dorami's personality and the lighthearted, adventurous tone that defined the mid-90s era of the franchise's cinematic output.
