Frame Arms Girl: Kyakkya Ufufu na Wonderland

Frame Arms Girl: Kyakkya Ufufu na Wonderland was released in 2019 as a cinematic adaptation of the Frame Arms Girl franchise, which originated from a popular line of plastic model kits produced by Kotobukiya. Developed by studio ZEXCS, the film was designed to bring the toy line’s established narrative—centered on sentient, customizable androids living with a human master—into a theatrical format, serving as a compilation and expansion of the events seen in the 2017 television series.

The production sought to capture the hobbyist appeal of the original kits by emphasizing the mechanical aesthetics and lighthearted slice-of-life interactions between the characters. While the visual design leans heavily on the digital character models used in the series, the film was received primarily by the existing fan base of the franchise, acting as an extension of the hobby-centered world-building that distinguishes the Frame Arms Girl series from traditional mecha anime.
