Gebäude-Bäude

Gebäude-Bäude was released in 2020 by Jinni’s Animation Studio as a experimental foray into surrealist children's programming. Created during a period where independent animation studios were increasingly finding global distribution through streaming platforms, the series was designed to explore architectural personification through a whimsical, minimalist aesthetic. The studio aimed to create a gentle, meditative viewing experience that contrasted with the rapid pacing typical of modern animated media.

The visual identity of the series was developed by a small team of animators at Jinni’s who focused on clean geometric lines and a soft, muted color palette. The character designs were intended to evoke feelings of stability and curiosity, encouraging viewers to look at their surroundings from a different perspective. While the show maintained a niche audience, it was well-received by critics for its unique conceptual approach and high quality of movement, helping to solidify the studio's reputation for artistic integrity.
