Gebi You Zhi Taohua Yao

Gebi You Zhi Taohua Yao, often translated as 'The Peach Blossom Demon Next Door,' is a Chinese original net animation (ONA) produced by the studio Haoliners Animation League. Released in the mid-2010s, it emerged during a period of rapid expansion for the Chinese domestic animation industry, which was increasingly looking to web-based platforms and digital-first distribution to reach younger, internet-savvy audiences. The project reflects the studio's broader efforts to adapt localized light novel and web-comic tropes into short-form animated content.

The series focuses on supernatural comedy and slice-of-life elements, a stylistic choice common in contemporary Chinese animation aimed at light entertainment. The design language utilizes a vibrant, simplified aesthetic typical of low-budget digital animation from the era, prioritizing character personality and comedic timing over fluid, high-frame-rate movement. While it did not achieve mainstream critical acclaim, it remains a point of interest for followers of the niche Chinese ONA scene, serving as an example of the experimentation characterizing the mid-decade shift toward serialized online anime production.
