Pan to Boku no Momo-chan

Pan to Boku no Momo-chan was released in 2018 as a short-form original net animation. Created as part of a collaborative promotional campaign between the Japanese bakery chain Yamazaki Baking and the animation studio Production I.G, the project was designed to emphasize the artisanal quality of the brand’s bread offerings through a heartwarming, slice-of-life narrative. The short serves as a gentle exploration of the connection between food and personal memory.

The animation was directed by Junya Koshiba, who utilized a soft, pastel-toned visual style to evoke a sense of comfort and domestic warmth. By centering the story on a small, whimsical character named Momo-chan, the production sought to humanize the brand's image. Upon its release, it was well-received by audiences for its fluid character animation and the evocative, atmospheric direction typical of Production I.G’s short-form commercial works.
