Mochizuki General Hospital boasts some of the most well-trained (and well-endowed) nurses in town. But though these ladies spend much of their day battling disease, their after-hours are spent fighting a very different sort of sickness... Under the leadership of the hospital chairman, a handful of staff members and local teenagers form a group of mercenary assassins, targeting the "cancers" of society and excising those individuals before their wickedness spreads.

Where it came from
Triage X was produced by studio Xebec and broadcast as a television anime series in 2015, based on the manga series created by Shouji Sato. The project emerged during a period when the studio was known for navigating a blend of action-heavy narratives and stylized character designs. The series follows a clandestine organization known as Black Label, which operates within a medical facility to eliminate criminals who evade the conventional justice system.
The production sought to translate Sato's high-octane, ecchi-influenced aesthetic into an animated format, focusing on dynamic combat sequences and a gritty, modern setting. Upon its release, the adaptation received a measured reception, with critics often noting its commitment to the tone of the original source material while acknowledging the narrative conventions typical of the mid-2010s action-thriller genre.
