The mean streets of Tokyo are that much safer when the ladies of Bokuto Police Station are on patrol! When the fun-loving and free-wheeling Natsumi teams up with the mechanical wizard Miyuki, criminals don't stand a chance.
From booby-trapped handbags to exhibitionists from beyond the grave to geriatric gearheads, you'll be rolling on the floor with laughter at these 20 mini-episodes. Will they be able to protect their undergarments and co-workers from the depredations of an army of Tokyo's oversexed peeping Toms? Can Natsumi's finances hold out until her next paycheck clears? Chaos ensues and neither speeders nor sneaks stand a chance as Miyuki and Natsumi show that crime doesn't pay!

Where it came from
You’re Under Arrest! Mini Specials were produced by Studio Deen and aired on TBS in 1999 as a series of short-form episodes. These vignettes served as a supplement to the popular police procedural comedy franchise, which began as a manga by Kosuke Fujishima. The series was designed to lean into the lighthearted, slice-of-life interactions between Tokyo police officers Natsumi Tsujimoto and Miyuki Kobayakawa, emphasizing humor and character chemistry rather than high-stakes action.
The character designs remained faithful to the series' established aesthetic, characterized by a clean, approachable style that highlighted the protagonists' distinct personalities. Upon release, the shorts were received as a charming addition to the franchise, successfully capitalizing on the audience's familiarity with the lead characters and maintaining the gentle, situational comedic tone that had come to define the You’re Under Arrest! brand throughout the late 1990s.
