You're Under Arrest: Full Throttle

You're Under Arrest: Full Throttle, released in 2007, represents the third television anime adaptation of Kosuke Fujishima’s popular police procedural manga. Produced by Studio DEEN under the direction of Koichi Ohata, this series continues the adventures of traffic officers Natsumi Tsujimoto and Miyuki Kobayakawa. The production sought to update the aesthetic of the franchise for a modern audience while maintaining the focus on character chemistry and vehicular detail that defined the original 1990s iterations.

The series is noted for its episodic nature, balancing lighthearted workplace comedy with more dramatic narrative arcs. The design language carries over the recognizable character traits established in the earlier OVAs and television runs, reflecting a transition toward the digital animation standards common in the late 2000s. While it maintains the franchise's dedication to realistic mechanical depictions, it faced the challenge of balancing nostalgia with the need for fresh storytelling, ultimately serving as the final main series entry in the long-running franchise.
