Jürgen Habermas, Volumes I and II

Published in 2018 by Routledge, part of the Taylor & Francis Group, this two-volume set edited by Camil Ungureanu serves as a comprehensive collection of scholarly discourse surrounding the work of German philosopher Jürgen Habermas. The project was conceived to synthesize the massive breadth of Habermas's contribution to critical theory, democratic theory, and communicative action, providing researchers with a structured overview of the major intellectual debates that have shaped his reception in the social sciences.

The design and editorial framework were intended to facilitate academic study rather than mass appeal, focusing on categorizing Habermas’s extensive intellectual evolution from his early works on the public sphere to his later explorations of religion and post-national identity. By compiling essential critiques and thematic essays, Ungureanu sought to capture the complexity of Habermas’s philosophy for a contemporary audience, resulting in a well-regarded reference tool for students and scholars of political theory.
