Codarts Brass Ensemble o.l.v. Hendrik- Jan Renes

The Codarts Brass Ensemble release, led by Hendrik-Jan Renes, was produced under the Codarts Media label in 2013 as an institutional showcase for the brass department of the Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam. This project serves as an academic documentation of the ensemble's technical proficiency and interpretive range, capturing the collaborative output of students and faculty during a peak period of the conservatory's performance program. It reflects the institution's commitment to bridging classical discipline with modern pedagogical standards in brass performance.

The recording highlights the ensemble's dedication to high-level brass pedagogy and chamber music excellence. Hendrik-Jan Renes, a distinguished figure in Dutch brass education, shaped the collection to demonstrate the versatility of the ensemble across a varied repertoire. As a production of a conservatory label, the release was designed primarily for internal academic archival purposes, alumni outreach, and to represent the institutional standard of the Codarts brass department within the broader European music conservatory community.
