Where it came from
Released in 2018 by the label Discobertas, this CD is part of a dedicated effort to preserve the legacy of Brazilian singer and songwriter Marcos Roberto. Roberto was a prominent figure in the Brazilian music scene during the 1960s and 1970s, best known for his contributions to the Jovem Guarda movement and his success as a romantic balladeer whose work often explored themes of longing and emotional sincerity.
The 2018 reissue reflects the label's commitment to archiving classic Brazilian discography, ensuring that original studio recordings remain accessible to contemporary audiences. By curating these tracks into a clean digital format, Discobertas intended to honor the melodic sensibilities and the specific production aesthetics of Roberto's peak recording years, providing a structured look at the artist's evolution for both long-time fans and new listeners.
